It's our pleasure to announce that
Sabancı University, CIAD Writing Center starts
a series of seminars on Writing and Writing Center issues, the first one being the
End-of-Summer Institute 2011:
Role and Implementation of Writing Programs and Writing Centers in Secondary and Higher Education
during
September 5 - 11, 2011.
We have series of sessions for two groups:
GROUP I - English Language Teaching [ELT] educators, September 5-8, 2011 [IN ENGLISH]
GROUP II - Turkish Language and Literature [TLL] educators, as well as colleagues involved in other courses or disciplines, September 9-11, 2011 [IN TURKISH].
Please review all information presented and join us to share our experiences, aspirations, expectations, satisfactions, and even concerns!
We would appreciate your sharing this invitation with your colleagues who are planning to open their Writing Center or start WAC at their institutions.

09:00 - 17:00 - Plenaries, SIG Interaction, Open Microphone, and “You Chair” Session

Target Participants:
Teachers of English in Secondary and Higher Education - Group I: Sep. 5, 6, 7, 8, 2011, 9:00 - 17:00
Teachers of Turkish or other Courses/ Disciplines in Secondary and Higher Education – Group II: Sep. 9, 10, 11, 2011, 9:00 - 17:00
Number of Participants: 70 for each group, TOTAL: 140 participants
Registration Fee:
80TL for each participant of each group. For 2 and more participants from the same institution: 60TL each for each group.
Late Registration: 125 TL each for either group. For 2 and more participants from the same institution: 100 TL each.
Accommodation:
SU Dormitories, 60TL per night for single/ 30 TL each per night for double
Lunch/ Dinner: SU Cafeteria, 5 - 10 TL, depending on the menu chosen OR Café Dorm, Hangar, 10-15TL [not included in the registration fee]
Transportation:
SU Kadiköy & Taksim Shuttle Timetable and Maps are provided.
